Waterbury Police Activity League
The Waterbury Police Activity League (PAL) is a not-for-profit organization that promotes partnerships between youth, law enforcement and the community through a variety of educational, athletic and recreational programs.
All of the programs are designed to encourage team building and foster positive relationships. There is an emphasis on education and learning, as well as participation in sports and activities. The goal of PAL is to enable all young people, regardless of race, religion, income or handicap to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Currently, there are 5 sworn police officers who are dedicated to maintaining the bridge between law enforcement, youth, and the community. Additionally, there are many, many volunteers consisting of citizens and police officers who dedicate their time toward making the programs PAL provides a success.
PAL is a unique organization that is empowered by civic-minded individuals from all backgrounds. PAL continues to prosper with PAL Park located across the street from PAL, a greenhouse located next to PAL Park, and other garden areas nearby PAL Park and Fulton Park which PAL youth are able to use, further enhancing PAL Programs.
Waterbury PAL offers athletic, educational and recreational activities to youth from the Greater Waterbury area, aged 4 to 17 years old. Activities include:
