On October 3, 2025, officers assigned to the Waterbury Police Department’s Auto Theft Task Force Unit responded to a fraud complaint at 90 Scott Road (Blasius Chevrolet). The complainant reported purchasing a gray 2022 Acura TLX from Kristen Figueroa, age 35, of Waterbury, for approximately $30,000. Subsequent investigation revealed that the vehicle had been re-VINed and was reported stolen out of New York.

Based on the findings of the investigation, officers obtained an arrest warrant charging Figueroa with Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Larceny in the First Degree.

On December 22, 2025, officers located Figueroa in Southington, where she was taken into custody without incident.

The Waterbury Police Department remains committed to serving the community through ongoing investigative and enforcement efforts.
