THREE ARRESTED IN STOLEN VEHICLE INVESTIGATION
On January 12, 2026, officers from the Waterbury Police Department’s Auto Theft Task Force, along with the Vice and Intelligence Unit, were investigating a black 2021 BMW 430i Convertible that had been reported stolen out of New Canaan. During the investigation, officers located the BMW parked and occupied in the area of 256 Perkins Avenue.
As officers attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop, the driver-side and passenger-side occupants exited the vehicle simultaneously. The passenger-side suspect, later identified as Kevin Webster, 22, of Waterbury, was quickly apprehended, while the driver-side suspect later identified as Christain Almeida-Palomba, 21, of Waterbury exited the vehicle and fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, he was apprehended without incident.
Officers located a third suspect, Josiah Hardy, 19, of Waterbury inside the vehicle, who was apprehended without incident.

- Interfering with an Officer
- Improper Use of Marker Plate
- Illegal Operation of a Motor Vehicle Under Suspension
Josiah Hardy was charged with:
- Larceny of a Motor Vehicle
Kevin Webster was charged with:
- Larceny of a Motor Vehicle
- Interfering with an Officer
