CAR SEAT SAFETY CHECK

The Waterbury Police Department invites parents and caregivers to stop by our free Child Passenger Safety Car Seat Check this Saturday, October 17, 2026.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), 677 children were killed in traffic crashes while riding in passenger vehicles in 2024. Traffic crashes remain a leading cause of death for children, and one of the best ways to protect a child in a crash is to make sure they are properly buckled in the correct seat for their age and size.
